ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP
The fellowship aims to train endourologists in enhancing the treatment of patients with complex stone disease and BPH. Throughout the fellowship year, participants will specialize in Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), a cutting-edge minimally invasive procedure.
Dr. Amy Krambeck instructs on the workup and medical management of stone disease. This includes extensive surgical exposure to percutaneous renal access, advanced percutaneous nephrolithotomy techniques, advanced ureteroscopy, and HoLEP.
The fellowship allocates 20% of its focus to research, guided by the faculty and leveraging the resources at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Upon completing the program, fellows will possess the skills to independently deliver expert-level endourological care to patients.
Fellows actively participate in weekly didactic conferences alongside the urology housestaff. These conferences include urology grand rounds, pre-operative conferences, and a fellowship-level endourology conference.
